AA FC have opened their NLO 2026 season campaign with a controlled victory over Calgary FC at Area 3 Pitch B in Group Thirty One.
Abdulazeez Ademoh bundled home the ball from close range in the 56th minute, after Calgary FC failed to deal with a second ball in the box, which came off a free-kick from the right wing. Ademoh, unmarked, positioned himself at the far post as he headed home the first goal.
Despite their push to find an equaliser, Calgary FC found themselves 2-goals down after Nzube favour reacted quick to a rebound as he knocked home the second goals.
Calgary FC eventually got a goal back from a long range shot off the boots of defender Gideon Obetta. However, the euphoria didn’t last long as AA FC put the icing on the cake after striker Vened Emmanuel controlled a lobbed free-kick with his chest before lobbing the ball over the goalkeeper in added time as AA FC secure a 3-1 victory.
The victory thus boost gives AA FC a confidence boost ahead of their next match.
